Subscribe to our RSS feed.
Keep up to date with DPS without having to regularly visit our website by subscribing to our RSS feed! Anything posted to the Media Center is automatically published via RSS. Your favorite RSS reader, web browser or mail client can be configured to monitor the feed and notify you of updates. For more information about using RSS feeds, check the help in Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox or Outlook 2007.

Live Demonstration Environment
Our web-based products are available for real-world testing before purchase. These demos are available to customers who have participated in a product demonstration or training session.

Enhanced Product Support Area
Easily access the DPS Documentation Library, TechNOTES and Support Bulletins from a single section designed for existing customers. In the future, our product documentation will move from the existing static documents to a searchable documentation library that is also linked and integrated within all of our applications.

Redesigned Product Download Area
Our product download section has been completely reorganized. Downloads have been grouped together and have more detail as to contents of each link. Of course, all downloads require a key provided by Product Support to unlock them. We also advise customers to not upgrade software without assistance from Product Support to ensure compatibility.

Remote Support has been revolutionized.
Through the use of the “DPS Connect” tool on our Product Support page, our Product Support Team engineers can remotely diagnose, repair and even operate your workstations and servers. This allows for quick collaboration and easier resolution of problems.

The Next Generation AdTracker

DPS AdTracker Version X for Macintosh represents a radical leap forward in productivity and convenience. We’ve listened to users at our three hundred plus installed newspapers to bring you the most advanced AdTracker ever!

Under the hood, AdTracker Version X is fundamentally different as well. AdTracker X is a Universal Binary, so it will scream natively on Intel Macs as well as run great on legacy PowerPC Macs!

Find ads faster.
“Spotlight”-style search capabilities allow the user to quickly filter ads by only typing a portion of the ad number. The ad spreadsheet filters the ads as you type!
- If your ads start with common numbers, such as leading zeros, there is no need to type them.
- If you wish to find a range of ad numbers such as SPEC165805 through SPEC165809, simply type “SPEC16580”.
- Type just enough digits of the ad number to make it unique.
- On-screen filters allow you to drill down quickly to find ads.
- Access your saved Advanced Queries with a single click.
- Filter only the ads you are working on by checking a box.
If an ad is not found, all publications are searched automatically.

View crucial details without Expanding.
When you highlight an ad, you can now see a thumbnail preview of the ad as well as the most important fields from the Electronic Ad Jacket.

Context menus speed tasks.
By Right-Clicking (or Control-Clicking) on an ad, you immediately have access to the most common actions that you can perform.

Quick drag-and-drop attachment.
When an ad is highlighted, you can now drag individual pieces of art or folders to the “Quick Attach” area to have it automatically added to the Electronic Ad Jacket. Dropping an element while holding down the SHIFT key will rename the art and convert it into an Electronic Ad.

Customize the Advanced Query window.
The Advanced Query Window now has the ability to set the current search criteria to the default query or to use an existing query as the default query.

Make History.
It is now easier than ever to view the history of an ad and even add to it. History is now available from the Mini-Expand Window, Expand Window, Context and View menus. You can even add your own events!

We’ve updated our AdAlert application to include a new feature called “PDF Collector”. Now AdAlert can be configured to find PDFs of ads in the AdTracker system. Once AdAlert finds the PDFs, they are automatically collected into a specified folder. This allows for PDFs to be easily submitted to PDF viewers such as Harvest or Shop Local.

When changing Web sizes, column widths and sizes in AdTracker will be affected. This document will provide complete instructions on how to configure AdTracker to automatically accommodate web size conversions. Although we have designed this document so that you can make these changes we highly recommend that these modifications be done by the DPS support staff.
